Envelopes are a few pennies. Paper is very inexpensive. Laser toner, dunno cost per page.... Someone's time to research this and authorize payment...

Reader's Digest (ex employer) used to send out .10c cheques as part of their promotion strategy. People did indeed take them to their bank and deposit them. The bank statement (for the .10c cheque account) made rather monotonous reading. .10c .10c .10c .10c .10c 10c 10c 10c 10c $20,000.10c .10c .10 .10c .10c ......
