I'm really a fan of the canon in D chord progression and it was really surprising to find out how many modern songs used it. (Maybe not to the degree he portrayed though).

Mainly because of the fantastic variation called "Canon Rock" which it's awesomo.

well it wouldt have been as funny, but yes heaps of songs use it, I didnt realise myself either.
