Well, kids need to start somewhere to be introduced to these stuff, and this MIGHT be a good possibility (though don't take my word on this, since I haven't read it yet).
I did an all-nighter with HP5 (sounds like a printer designation), too. Not a kids' book? Sure it is. Don't underestimate kids. It is a very long book, but the actual reading level isn't that far out of reach, and I do like to see really good writing for kids as well as for adults. We need to be exposing our kids to good writing.
True enough, I suppose -- after all, the kid (Harry) is growing up. Eesh -- next thing we know, he'll be a teenager and will be thinking more about dating than poor old forgotten Voldemort.
H'mmm . . . I wonder if that's the whole idea behind the plot: Harry grows up, develops other interests, and Voldemort finds that this situation creates a spell whereby he simply wastes away due to lack of interest.
