boodieI have a very very dear friend, someome that I love very much, she has DID,(Dissociative Identity Disorder (until very recently known as Multiple Personality Disorder - MPD) http://www.sidran.org/didbr.html
Over the past few years, as well as talking to her, i have talked lots to various aspects of her many alters, one in particular, a little child, who was rather fragile but strong at the same time, she took all the pain for the other littlies in the group.
Well tonight my dear friend tells me that the little girl, who was very sweet, just couldn't handle the pain anymore and she died, now if you've never known anyone with DID, you wont understand how REAL each of these other alters are, each has dislikes and likes, and is different.
My dear friend is very sad, and so am I, I shall miss the little girl very much, she always brightened my night and loved it when I told her bed time stories
it's just like a very much loved friend dying.
