Been waiting for Monash to get back to me to see if i've gotten into Uni... Because every man and his dog wanted to check out their Uni offers this week Monashs' web connect was not a happy beastie, and I couldn't get through to see what if anything had been decided..

Finally made it through today and it's in progress

I hope thats a good sign, and not a bad one.

I hope thats a good sign, and not a bad one.

They call the wind maria

Just been on the phone to the PM's to tell them that the wind (currently gusting around 110kph) has sheared the supporting arm of the canvas awning over the back porch, the arm is hanging free, thankfully for the moment it's trapped in the metal supports of the awning, but with each massive gust it lifts up, and if the wind keeps up it will only be a matter of time until it works free and then I suspect the whole canvas bit will go, and if there is enough strength, rip the metal supports out of the weatherboard's, and then do a merry dash to freedom down the driveway, or if it gets enough lift, over the fence into the neighbours house.

Unfortunately because of the wind they're running short of tradesmen, apparently some houses have lost parts of roofs, so it's unlikely someone will be able to come until tomorrow, we don't have the tools or the ladder required to remove it ourselves, or else we would.

So all I can hope is that the wind drops, or that it just stays where it is for the time being.
