Personally, I cannot watch Gene Wilder in Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, because i find him to be just far to creepy and the whole thing is just creepy, i'm sure that Johnny Depp will make a brilliant Willy Wonka.

But I loved 'Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory' and it'll be interesting to see whether Johnny sings XD and who plays each child.

I'm curious on what it will be like, but my mind is still curious as to who would have made a better wonka, Depp or Manson. Still worth watching even to see how it compares tot the original...*hopes they have a few cameos from the original cast* (heres to hoping)

That's what I liked about the Gene Wilder Willy Wonka. The creepiness and ambiguity was what made the movie, even when I was too young to know what "ambiguity" meant.

Then again, Burton isn't exactly Mr Bright and Happy Movies. :)

mmm, I dunno, I mean, on one paw, I LOVE Johnny Depp in all the movies I've ever seen him in..

on the other, I sorta liked the original Charlie and the chocolate factory,

on yet another paw, I do admit that certain scenes in the original movies have dated SEVERELY

but then again, on the final paw, I LOVE the look of that coat *Squee!* not to mention the flame embossed shoes he's wearing
