It is very hard to look for somewhere else to live when you don't have a car, and getting taxis everywhere is out of the question, and buses aren't built around your timetable, I can't expect my Father to put his life on hold every day on the off chance an agent MIGHT ring back and say 'can you come an look at this house today'.. the minute you say you don't have a car you can hear the mental shift, like you're being downgraded on the list of potential tenants.

perhaps a possible solution is to wander out to the real estate agent's and try getting _them_ to transport you about to the houses? or don't they actually do that?
