I usually make my nuke flower a little further out, so the blue turrets aren't in range (though I do suppose it saves on upgrade costs for temp turrets while making the nuke flower... good idea...)
Another suggestion would be to build gas bombers... They slow the enemy down, so they can get nuked over and over and over.... In massive groups... More points! ^.^
so I take it you sold your initial turret(s)? I've tried creating two nuke flowers, but it just doesn't work... Once I've made my first one, I put 6 multipliers in the appropriate positions, then make 2 gas bombers, to slow down the enemies, so I can get more points before I inevitably lose...
personally I like using multiples of the BFG along with the nukes, that can sometmes work very well, my highest now is 532ish million, so I'm getting there.
