I think that's the same one they use in MS word, and as a rule, not very accurate (it's a little more like eloquency-level). Or a measure of readability (the average person of grade-whatever could read this). Or something like that.
And it's not as amusing as the 'gender genie' and friends.
actually the Flesch-Kincaid readability scale is one of the more respected and accurate scales out there, a lot of SATs use it to determine your ability to read text.
Poo, ye beat me. 8, and that beat most of the people on my friend's list. Funnily enough, Sue's LJ (prawn_star) is probably the most readable journal on the list and she got 4, so perhaps it's not such a boast.
