waiting waiting waiting...
Aug. 24th, 2004 03:23 pmCalled IBM this morning, told they'd get in touch with the repair centre and find out what the 'other' was that they replaced and find out why the mainboard wasn't replaced when that was what was ordered.. Still waiting for them to ring me back.

Date: 2004-08-24 01:52 am (UTC)Customer satisfaction is one of the things that people get graded on and goes significantly towards bonuses, so make sure that you get your bitching in at any opportunity and it'll hurt them.
Why is it that when I wanted my old Win95 machine to be replaced, the bugger wouldn't break no matter how I mistreated it...

Date: 2004-08-24 05:51 am (UTC)You know..I work in a call center, and know that there is a "process" which everyone goes through to get something repaired. Frustrating as hell for the customers, true. But they are in the business to make money, so they have to go through the steps of work that will cost the company less in the long run.
However...that being said...I think they've gone to extremes with your problem.
