And nobody says you have to do all the paperwork at once. Just a couple things at a time. Stuff like drivers licences can wait until you have to renew them.
depends whether you prefer your maiden name or your married name (my mother still uses her married name, even though they've been divorced over 15 years now) and how much hassle it is to change everything.
if i ever get married, i am not going to change my name :)
