Last night while watching the episode of Malcom in the Middle, where Malcoms mum is fantasising about having three girls instead of the boys, the eldest stunned me with a question.

"if you were pregnant again, would you prefer a boy this time"


I think the look of stunned and terrified horror on my face said it all, she collapsed with laughter on the couch, and nearly wet herself.

Can someone please tell me again, why I have children?
