The good news for you is the real estate market is in a slump and houses just aren't selling very well. At least that seems to be the case in most American markets right now.
The next door neighbor's place has been on the market a couple of months now. This is the SF bay area. Completely unheard of. Just six months ago, the guy would have fifteen offers on the place ten minutes after it got listed.
I wish that was the case here, the market is booming, but again that depends on the place, the house next door has been for sale for 3-4 months.. it's still empty.
this time they've advertised it as having a tennant, so maybe someone who wants an investment place will buy it and i wont have to move, thats what i'm hoping.. I dont even care if they put up the rent, that will kill me less than having to find $2k to move with.
