Well THAT was passingly horrendous, two people he said, two people to show around.. THIRTY people later, he arranged a bloody Open House without telling me.

I hate it, hate hate hate it.

Yes this place is a dump, but it's my dump and hearing other people say horrible things about the place I live in hurts, I'm well aware that the colour scheme sucks and that my furniture doesn't go with it, and yes I know my furniture isn't the best looking stuff around, but it is mine.

And it's not my fault that there's been nothing done to the house in the past fourteen years, I've done my best but I can't perform miracles and I can't stop stuff from wearing out and looking shabby.

And someone else wants to look at the house on monday.

very, how hard is it to not say anything until you're outside and out of my earshot, by all means say that the roof needs replacing, which is does, but do you really need to say 'what a hideous loungesuite' when you know the owner is in earshot.

Exactly! I've been in those situations, but I usually refer to things not my taste as 'interesting'. It gives a semblance of politeness without me feeling I'm being offensive. I have interesting furniture too :)

thats what I do, if its not to what I like it's interesting, which is a damn site politer than saying 'you're taste is crap'
