Did ANYONE really think that Australia was going defeat Germany?

I mean REALLY and honestly, if so I suggest you go to the Dr and tell him/her that you're suffering from delusions.

Granted that 4-0 was pretty harsh, but expecting a win, good god, wake up and smell the roses, we are a big fish in a little pond in the Asia section, so yes we beat teams, but worldwide we rank something like 75th, I don't even think the most deluded of Hollywood script writers could pull off a storyline like that.

Australia collectively is NOT devestated, a small (comparatively speaking) percentage of soccer fans probably are, but this part of Australia really couldn't give a stuff.

Agreed, I'd have never even suspected we had a chance against Germany, Heck, We probably don't even have a chance against Ghana either, Luck of the draw means we're pretty much gonna drop out first tier, this time Round I think

Germany and Ghana, two Powerhouses of Football in the world, Us? well, the only other team in our area that even gets close to international recognition is Japan...
