So disappointed in myself right now, failed yesterdays exam so badly: half the questions were covered in the text books I couldn't afford to buy. I did what I could with what little I knew, but it won't be enough to pass this subject. Looks very much like I'll have to repeat a whole semester.
So very disappointed in myself.

Date: 2010-06-26 01:28 am (UTC)if you do have to repeat, let us know the names of your textbooks. We'll see if we can locate them for you by some means - I'm still a member of the book co-op at Monash, and sometimes it's possible to find torrents of textbooks if you look hard enough.
I hate that textbooks are so expensive - I have one I had to buy for my course and never even opened it. I don't blame you for opting not to buy one - just a shame that your advisor didn't warn you about the exam content.

Date: 2010-06-26 03:06 am (UTC)I joined a used text book selling site, but most of the students on there have an over inflated idea of what their 2nd hand books are worth. I know they paid a lot for them, but selling them 2nd hand for only $10 less than what you can get them new is not conducive to people on tight budgets buying them.
Oh and I wont even get into what some of them wanted to charge for postage, worse than eBay.
