you know, its totally true to form, that out of the five (and one sort of) marriage proposals i've had in the last seven years, the only person I would have said yes to, is technically the one who didn't actually ask.

I offer marriage proposals for $100,000 upward. I realise that if the purchased "proposal" is accepted I may be legally (or morally) bound to honour the proposal but I figure if someone is ready,willing and able to pay me $100,000 upward for a proposal it might be in my interests to accept it. Marrying me for my money or wealth (or heaven's forbid sex) and waiting until I "cark it" wouldn't be acceptable, and a poor investment for anyone considering it. :-)
