something just a little nicer doesn't suit you boodie, besides, I don't think anyone would be selling a house like the one you're in in THAT sort of condition.. I'd say that you won't find a place 'just a little nicer' then the one you're in =8)

heyyy..... what's wrong with a $90,000 home... I live in a house that was $90,000 when we bought it....... except now it's more along the lines of $140,000..... we've done a lot more work to it, than was actually put into it in the first place...
New fridge, New Stove, new washer-dryer, metal roof, redone walls in every bedroom, redone floor, and I'm fixing windows, and tiling the bathroom floor/walls in a couple months.

So yeah.. but I've never seen your house.. so I don't know what it looks like.. maybe it's in "genteel disrepair" oh well.... I hate talking about things like this.... so yeah that dragon dreaming picture was *drool*

I have no idea what the "streets ahead" incentive program is but as you seem pleased I wish you luck. I'd love to live in Tasmania but it's probably a bit too cold for the toes. I take it property is still "affordable" in your neck of the woods.

Its a state version of the First Home owners scheme, but is there to allow low income earners and those on certain benefits the ability to purchase their own home.

no, not any more, we got people migrating here from the mainland by the bucket load, buying all our cheap houses.. cant find a decent 3 bdr house for under $100k now..
