well my laptop is working again, but still with this weird problem, as long as the file comes from a cd it will unzip, but direct download from the web, or over the network.. nope.
and on a side note ngarewyrd and weasely.. you're so sweet together. *hugs*
What kindsof errors are you getting? And are you using WINXP's built-in ZIP software, or do you have WinRAR? I hightly recommend WinRAR as it will open RAR files as well as ZIP, CAB, ISO, etc.
trust me i have tried all of them, and its with exe files as well, it returns with a corrupt file and wont install. but if i copy the same file on my laptop from a cd, they unzip/unrar and install with no problem
