I am pro-life.
I am for the lives of the hundreds of thousands starving to death.
I am for the lives of the hundreds of men and women killed in war.
I am for the lives of innocent teens who were never taught how to protect themselves.
I am for the lives of the millions in my country without proper health care.
I am for the lives of all the people who have thought about committing suicide.
I am for the lives of the people who never live above 40 because of their standard of living.
I am for the lives of teenage mothers who can't support the children that are forced upon them.
I am even for the lives of criminals who never had a fair shot.
So America- while you're off campaigning for one life, look at what lives I care about. And stop spouting this nonsense about being "pro-life" yourself. Because if you look at what lives you overlook to worry about one, you'll realize you're not nearly as pro-life as you think you are.
I am pro-life.
I am for living.
Bravo and ditto, with a few modifications for Australian conditions.

Date: 2005-04-04 02:01 am (UTC)I've often wondered what twisted logic 'pro-lifers' actually use. Cos it certainly doesn't encompass any of the ideas above.
