We get Earthlink ones. Even though they spoof a very real email, their internet English still shines through:

"Due to our automatical technical verificational procedures..."

Although the one time I did truly have to laugh was when they fake "return email" was SupportTeamEarthlink - Earthlink puts spaces between all of their department's words.

I tried to report them to Earthlink, but after 30 minutes of frustration, they just gave me a hard time, I wanted to see the spammer arrested myself.

Well the whole point of fucking up the words is to get them through the filters. Unfortunately for them, they also make the messages so messed up they can't be read or taken with any degree of seriousness.

Seriously, have I missed something? I would consider that a potentially legit email (though I'd be checking what address it came from and searching their site for authenticity). What makes you assume, from the above message only, that it must be spam?

Hey now, this is weird. I couldn't see any bad spelling at all so I copied and pasted it to a word processor and now the text is mangled. What the bollocks is going on?

thats how it arrived to me, spelt exactly that way, which is how i knew it was spam.. I wonder why you couldn't see it, the way i posted it??

It's very cunning, actually. The email is littered with "right-to-left override" and "pop directional formatting" characters. If you render it full Unicode, the spelling looks fine, because the "ae" in "Daer" is meant to show up as right-to-left.

I'm guessing it looks fine in both Outlook and IE.
