as for how it got played, I still wonder about that - I remember slipping it into the playlist for a shift I did at the radio station once, but only once.
The song I still wonder how it got played was Lola, by the Kinks. :-)
And yet, the other day I heard (on Kmart radio, no less) a censored version of Joe Jackson - the line "Don't call me a faggot/not unless you are a friend" was chopped out of it. So, 1976, it's ok to say in public that you "like it both ways", but 30 years later it's not ok to use a line like that. There's something really screwed up there.
