well I've stopped panicking so much, i've expressed interest in a few houses, waiting on some calls back from agents, according to the new tenancy laws, I have 28 days from the formal notice of intent to sell vacant, which I assume will be handed to me next week when the inspection takes place, so I have a time frame. Colony47 which are a charitable orginisation may be able to give me some money towards the absolutely exhorbitant bond money thats being asked nowdays.
This will give me time to sell some jewellery and other stuff and get some extra money together.

Date: 2007-02-17 02:07 am (UTC)when I moved into my house in Doveton, lo those many years ago, I was able to get government assistance in raising the bond required. It was in the form of a loan that meant I had to pay back whatever part of the bond was not returned by the landlord when the rental ceased, so it didn't impose any financial burden on me immediately.
I'm not sure if such a scheme still exists, or if it was a victoria-only thing, but there's a few places listed here that might be better able to advise you.
in one way, it's probably a good thing to have to move out of that house, even after so many years. Hopefully somewhere else will be better for you, more manageable and without the ongoing problems that have dogged your tenancy there. :-)
good luck!

Date: 2007-02-17 03:16 am (UTC)I'd give you a "cash gift for services rendered" but my finances are rather low right now, see where we are in a week or two, might pay you for a commission or anything else you could do for me ;)
