I have a Second Life account, thing is I have no fucking idea what I'm doing or where i'm supposed to be, so can anyone give me some nice places to hang out in.
Look up a place called Serenity Woods. It's full of people who are great to learn from if you're just starting to figure out the world, and if seeking furry avatars some free ones are in there as well as lots of goodies.
A store is there with links from several good shops if you buy most of your additions.
The "standard" fur area, Furnation, in SL is a little overwhelming at first.
A pawprint is all I have. :) I didn't know it was from there when a friend found it (originally used for Homeworld 2 ship designs), I'd use a full icon if I had one of my fursona - but me and art aren't friendly.
