I'd just gotten out of the shower and the eldest comes in and says 'turn on the tv theres a newsflash on win Heath Ledger is dead... and of course the remote picked that time to not work properly...

I swear I keep on thinking it's all been some horrible mistake, a joke, a bad bad joke.

Apparently his family only found out via the radio. In their desperation to get the story out, the media has ignored the needs of his family to find out in a way that maintains diginty and respect.

Them: "Um, he was in Brokeback Mountain."
Me: "Never saw it."
Them: "He was picked to be the Joker in the next Batman movie."
Me: "Noooo!"

The first thing I thought is, "Is that some sort of joke?"
The second, "Ooh, Health Ledger is a name, not an object."
Poking around wikipedia, "Hmm.... Joker... hope this has nothing to do with that."
It's always sad when someone dies. I just hope no one makes any disrespectful jokes regarding his name. :x
