I had the most miserable night last night, I don't know if it was due to the effects of this cold, but I went to bed and about 10 minutes later I was shivering, not just shivering but really shaking, I could not get warm, I had all my blankets on, and a hot water bottle, it got so bad that my teeth were chattering, nothing worked, I had to get up and put the heater on, and then when I got back to bed, I had this horrible burning feeling it started at my back and spread down my legs, and then up my back to my neck, I thought I was going to burn from the inside out, then when they stopped the shivering started again, I managed to finally get some sleep, but when I woke up in the morning, I ached all over from the shivering and my face and jaw hurt from my teeth chattering.

I never want to spend another night like that.

I take it you've never had a fever before? Horrible, hey? The best thing to be said for it is that once it's gone, it's usually gone for good.

I felt better in the morning, once my face and body had stopped aching, and i've been feeling betterer every day since.
