Oh dear...
Feb. 28th, 2002 10:05 pmToday a small tragedy occurred, now to you it might seem rather unimportant, but to my youngest it's a terrible thing and she's been crying about it ever since it happened.
She is mad about Cats, anything to do with Cats (the furry variety) and this afternoon she dropped and smashed her "very favouritest cup in the WHOLE world"..
It was no good me telling her that i'd buy her another one, she wanted HER cup back, the cup that she brought because the cat on it reminded her of our old cat Tabby, that we had to have put down a few years ago.
I didn't laugh at her, because at some stage in all our lives we've all broken something that was THAT important to us all, cups, promises, hearts, etc..
She's still upset, and I am a little too, because there nothing I can do to make her feel better, for tonight at least, tommorrow I'm sure that she'll better, she'll miss her cup, but thats easily fixed.
Fixing other broken things is not so easy.
