I feel like a heel, I really do, I'm trying to convince myself it was for the best but I'm not succeeding..




Yesterday a friend of my youngest turned up with a box full of kittens that had been abandoned by their Mum, I fell in love with two of them, and promptly adopted them, however my first two cats were NOT impressed to say the least, and showed it.

The other problem was the age of kitties, not more than 4 weeks, not weaned, still not able to walk properly, now I've had lots of cats and I realised that if these kitties were to survive they needed more care than I could give them, so this morning we took them to the cat centre, where they have Mother cats who can nurse the little kitties, I cried all the way up to the cat centre, I cried all the way back from the cat centre..

we may not have had them long, but they stole a piece of my heart and I feel like I have abandonded them..

I dont think my children will forgive me for a while.

Aww. *hugs.* They would be even more devastated if you had attempted to keep them and then they died, hon. They'll come to see that at some point.

Our first cat had to be put down about 4 years ago, and they seemed to understand that, in hindisght I probably shouldnt have taken the kitties in the first place..

I'd love to, but it cost $120 to adopt a kitten from the cat centre.. i'll have to save up for it

true, and this does include desesxing and all shots.. so

i've more or less promised the hatchies that we'll get another kittie in february, after I have recovered from christmas bills
