You know, in amongst all the wonderful acts of bravery that occured in WWII, one of the things that always stood out to me was the evacuation of almost 450,000 English soldiers from the shores of DUNKIRK the Admiralty admitted that it couldn't rescue all of them, at the most 30,000, so the UK govt sent out an SOS to all owners of ships/boats/ and anything else that could float, to help join in the rescue, and in one of the most amazing feats in WWII they managed to rescue every single soldier on the beaches at DUNKIRK
