I've had my new laptop for what?? 6 weeks, it came with a 20gb hd, almost 4 times the size of my previous laptop HD, this morning I spent 2 or so hours cleaning it out, trying to find out why all of a sudden I only had 4bg free from 20!!!.. I now have almost 9gb free.. but still!!!!

hehe, actually the mp3 are only 2 gig or so, I figured out what it was, all my Poser5 stuff, thats about 7 gig and growing

Aha, sounds like Forest's photoshop files which ate up *huge* portions of my drive, amazing how much space I reclaimed when he got his own puter!

I know how that is, I managed to survive with just half of an 8 gig hard drive, yet when I got my grubby little paws onna 40 gig hard drive, I kinda.. went overboard, I've got about 2 gigs left over..

Holy cow.

I am a computer geek (although I believe in a stream lined system) I have a 20 GIG and a 6 GIG drive. The 6 GIG is from my other computer and do back ups to that...anyhow, out of the 20 GIG main drive I have about 16 GIGs unused space! I've had this current install (of my operating system) since January of 2002. I don't collect MP3s though I have only about 500 MB of them on my system.

I have a grand total of about 10 gigs free on my 40 gig drive. Most of my crap is all my downloads (400 things in there, and I haven't actually opened most of em).

Just one of those times when it seems like your computer thinks 1+1=3.
