I have a new toy to play with, Bryce, which is a powerful 3d modelling tool, so I took my last picture and rendered it using Bryces render engine which is FAR more powerful than Firefly on poser5.

Is it worth the fuss, you tell me.

models done in Poser5, rendered in Bryce and some postwork done in Bryce, then whole thing turned into a PSD and finish postwork done in Photoshop.

This render (upon looking at the last) is much much cleaner, and the sun in the background really makes the picture. The Bryce engine seems to be a lot cleaner in this case. Looks Excellent.

I prefer the original.

I really like the improvments made in the sky and distant background. However, Bryce seems to kill most of the nice skin texture on the lady and the baby dragon, giving the picture a much more overt "rendered" look.

*nods* that was probably me, i may turn down the magnitude of the resolution.

its not plastic, its the intensity of the sun and the fineness of the render, i might take it down a notch or two

Ah right.. sorry :) No, I did realise that, just trying to point out the skin had gone a bit too melty maybe (or too fine a render, as you say.. ).
I not got the hang of this criticism lark yet.
