This amazing ode to a fushy comes from the warped but beautiful mind of

Ode to a fish
I saw you floating in the tank,
You didn't seem too pleased.
On closer inspection you smelt kinda rank,
It almost made me sneeze.
I even got out the goldfish food,
And sprinkled it above your head.
You didn't seem too interested,
Just lay staring blankly instead.
I got a little concerned for your health,
When I nudged you with a straw.
You didn't dart away like usual,
Infact, you floated back up for more.
I got a little excited when I saw you move,
You rolled onto your back.
But something told me it wasn't good
When I noticed your colour had begun to lack.
Then I figured you were playing a game,
Pretending you were sick.
Right up til the goop on your eyeballs,
Began to grow white and thick.
The next day you had gone from the tank,
Just left without a trace.
You should've seen the pain I felt
And the look upon my face.
Mum told me you went on holiday,
Because you needed to get away.
But she wouldn't say when you'd be returning home,
Perhaps you'd be back the next day.
She offered me candy, flowers and pie,
To stop me from feeling blue.
But I almost died, when after my lunch
I went in to sit on the loo.
I saw your body on the bottom of the bowl,
Awaiting to be flushed.
Mum ran in behind to stop me,
But it wasn't worth the rush.
I'd seen the truth she'd disguised from me,
I turned around and glared.
She slowly backed away from me,
In fear that she wouldn't be spared.
She knew I'd uncovered her evil plot,
Just as she was about to flick
The lever on the toilet bowl,
In an attempt to murder my fish!
