1. Is the name you have now the same name that's on your birth certificate? If not, what's changed?

No, I changed my name by deed poll when i was old enough, to Webber, which is my Mothers maiden name, then I got married, and it changed to Altoff, I've been thinking about changing it back to Webber, since I've been divorced for over 4 years now.

2. If you could change your name (first, middle and/or last), what would it be?

Umm, the spelling of my first name

3. Why were you named what you were? (Is there a story behind it? Who specifically was responsible for naming you?)

My father wanted a boy, this was the female version of the boys name.

4. Are there any names you really hate or love? What are they and why?

Any of those name with stupid spellings, dont parents think about what their kids have to go through.

5. Is the analysis of your name at http://www.kabalarians.com accurate? How or how isn't it?

I don't trust those things. It's a name. Lots of people in the world have the same name and they aren't all like me.

I was named after Robert the Bruce and Malcolm the First (King of Scotland).

My ancestor was King Donalbain of Scotland (allegedly) and is mentioned in passing in Shakepeare's MacBeth.

I'd like to be named Jesus. That way when anyone swears in my name I can get upset.

Hi sweetie, hope things are going well for you. Finally got down to the police station with daughter and ex husband yesterday and got both sets of name change papers done (hers and mine). I won the battle with Centrelink, so as soon as they refund the money they owe me, I'll be legally changed. Simon Hugh Villiers MAYNARD. The Simon I chose (then discovered that if either of my nieces had been male they would have been Simon, the Hugh for my grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather (three in three generations), Villiers was my great grandmothers maiden name, and Maynard is my birth name (reverted back about 2 weeks after I left ex husband). My daughter is changing her last name to Maynard (yay, no more being called by my married name by friends of hers).

Now that the papers are signed, I don't have to put up with her father being a pain any more, I can tell him to leave if he starts getting annoying (had to really bite my tongue yesterday, but that was the last time). I won't tolerate 49 year olds acting like 2 year olds!

The website link you put in (how do you do that?) may not be much use for meanings of names, but for a story writer it's THE best source of names for story characters! If I remember right, you write stories too, don't you?
Have a great day, Hugs, Simon
