some geeky help please

My wireless network stuff arrived today, and it's just not working, the wireless netwrok adapter for the laptop is working fine, sending out management packets, however the network adapter for Joshua (my server) is NOT sending out anything, I tried the NA in the other computer and it is still not sending out management packets, or making any sign at all that its working.


Joshua runs win2kpro and the other runs WinXPpro.. I have the very latest drivers

Can anyone think of anything I may have missed, or do I have a dodgy USB network adapter??

if so I can send it back and get a replacment.

Its probably a bum adaptor. It sounds like its USB so you should be able to plug it into the computer where it does work. Though honestly I've never liked USB network adaptors, but that is mainly because I move my box around and prefer to have everything screwed in the PCI slots.
