I christened my dvd drive in my laptop today by watching one of my all time favourite movies Independence Day I LOVE ID4 it's a great movie, unlike some others, I can suspend my disbelief and ignore the scientific and logical implausabilities in the move and just see it how it was meant to be seen, as a rollicking fun ACTION movie, with no great pretensions to being anything else. It has one of the great rousing speeches of all time in it, President Whitmores speech to the assembled pilots and people, and as an added bonus it also has Jeff Goldblum wearing a singlet... my oh my..

and on another note...

How do YOU know when you've fallen for someone, what gives it away for YOU,

I like my DVD drives. Both of them, even if the old 6X is getting a little cranky lately.

ID4 is good. Bought the movie ages ago. I think it's being screened again over here sometime soon. Yay for mindless action movies!

On the other note... How do *I* personally know? When my thoughts keep straying to them in the middle of my day... When the first thing I think about after getting home is them... When I feel lost if they're gone from my life for a while, for whatever reasons...

I have the two disc DVD special ed. Supposed to and does have alternate and diferent as well as extended scenes, but I don't recall the ending being different.

What's the big ending difference with your disc, boodie?

no, mines the same as yours, the other ending is on the other disk, mind you i prefer the ending they used., it wouldnt have worked the alternate one.

Well apparently you know when you've fallen for someone, when you think about them ALL THE TIME and it gets to the point where they think you are OBSESSED with them and harassing them because you are messaging them so often.

Well I had to hear it from someone else. He met the guy at a furmeet and he said," Yeah I know Khaki. I guess he kinda likes me a lot. He acts kinda obsessive, but he's real cool."

It's just upsetting to have to hear these things from other people. =(

I agree with them. Then again, I fall for people too easily and too often, so I've become wary of people now.

Though that doesn't stop me from thinking about a few special someones 26 hours a day.

Rousing speech? Don't you mean comedy monologue?

Perhaps we Brts are too cynical for that kind of thing - it got as big a roar of laughter as any of the jokes in that film.

It is great fun though.
